Getting more from each length
One 24 ft slat equals three 8 ft pieces, but it gives you more options: you can cut two 10 ft pieces for a wide gate and keep the rest for a short return, or split it into pieces that match an odd bay width exactly. Planning cuts across all your slats before ordering usually reduces offcuts and the number of lengths you need. Keep the black finish consistent with posts, caps and frames so cut pieces blend into the rest of the project.

What it is made of
ALU 40 Slat 24 ft. – Black is made from aluminum 6063-t6, finished with AAMA 2604 Super-Durable Powder Coating in black.
6063-T6 is an architectural aluminum alloy made for extruded profiles. It gives clean, consistent shapes and takes a powder coating evenly, which is why it is widely used for fences, gates and other exterior building products.
AAMA 2604 is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association specification for high-performance organic coatings, powder coatings included, on aluminum extrusions. It sets test requirements for outdoor color and gloss retention, chalking and corrosion resistance.
