An 18 ft aluminum privacy sliding gate for wide entrances
Wide driveways, double garages, RV pads and commercial yards all need an entrance that closes off a long span without swinging across the drive. The ALU 60 T&G Horizontal NO GAP 18×6 ft. Heavy-Duty Sliding Gate from Aluglobus Aluminum Systems is an 18 ft aluminum privacy sliding gate built for exactly that: an 18 ft wide, 6 ft high gate that rolls sideways along the fence line on a ground track.
The infill is Alu 60 T&G, a tongue-and-groove slat that interlocks board to board. Installed with no gap, the slats form a continuous black surface that blocks the view into the property, which is the main reason buyers choose this design over spaced-slat gates.

Built for a long span
Compared with the 12 ft model, the 18 ft kit adds a third 2 in. x 4 in. x 20 ft HD frame member and a fourth 10 ft C-Track, giving the frame and the rolling path the extra length a wider gate needs. Big and small corner brackets lock the frame corners, and the channel kits hold the slat ends in line across the full width.
On the ground, the gate rides on the C-Wheel along the C-Tracks; the C Track 2-1/8 10ft and other hardware are also sold individually as spares. At the top, the 6" roller guide keeps the leaf upright as it moves. The gate catcher takes the leading edge when the gate closes, and the gate stopper sets the end of travel when it opens.
Posts, footings and space to slide
Two post options are listed for this gate, both sold separately:
- 3 in. Square Post – concrete footing or wall
- 4 in. Square Post – concrete footing, such as the 4×4 in. x 8ft. HD square post (.125 Thk)
Set posts so the gate catcher and guide roller line up with the gate in both the open and closed positions; a post out of plumb shows up quickly on a leaf this long. An 18 ft gate also needs a long, straight run beside the opening to slide back into, so walk the fence line before ordering and check for steps, slopes, trees or utilities in the path. Measure the opening at several points, and set footings and track according to the included instructions and your local code. ALU 60 T&G black driveway gate project
Low-maintenance finish
Frames and slats are 6063-T6 aluminum finished with AAMA 2604 super-durable powder coating in black, so the gate will not rust and does not need repainting or sealing. Because the slats interlock with no gap, there are no open joints to collect dirt, and the black face stays uniform from end to end. Upkeep is mostly about the moving parts: keep the C-Track free of stones and debris, rinse the gate occasionally, and check the wheel and guide roller from time to time. The kit does not list a motor; if you want to automate an 18 ft gate, confirm opener compatibility with our team before ordering.
