A 12 ft aluminum privacy sliding gate with no gaps
The ALU 60 T&G Horizontal NO GAP 12×6 ft. Heavy-Duty Sliding Gate from Aluglobus Aluminum Systems is a 12 ft aluminum privacy sliding gate for driveways and wide side-yard openings. Instead of spaced slats, it uses Alu 60 T&G (tongue-and-groove) slats that lock into one another, so the gate reads as one solid black face with no see-through gaps between boards.
A sliding gate moves sideways along the fence line rather than swinging into the drive, which helps on sloped driveways, short setbacks and properties where cars park close to the entrance. This kit packages the heavy-duty frame, slats, track and rolling hardware for a 12 ft wide by 6 ft high gate in a single order.

How the heavy-duty sliding system works
The gate is built around 2 in. x 4 in. HD aluminum frame members joined with big and small corner brackets. Channel kits run inside the frame to hold the slat ends, and the 24 Alu 60 T&G slats stack horizontally into a closed panel.
Movement comes from the rolling hardware:
- C-Wheel and C-Tracks – the gate rolls along the 10 ft track sections laid across the opening.
- 6" roller guide – holds the top of the gate upright and on line as it travels.
- Gate catcher – receives the leading edge of the gate when it closes.
- Gate stopper – limits travel at the end of the run.
The same hardware is sold individually if you ever need a spare, including the C Track 2-1/8 10ft and the 6" guide roller.
Posts and site planning
Posts are ordered separately. The price list gives two post options for this gate:
- 3 in. Square Post – concrete footing or wall mount
- 4 in. Square Post – concrete footing, for example the 4×4 in. x 8ft. HD square post (.125 Thk)
Before ordering, measure the clear width of the opening and check that there is enough straight, level ground along the fence for the gate to slide back into when open. Track layout, footing depth and post spacing should follow the included instructions and your local code. If the opening is close to 12 ft or the ground is uneven, confirm the layout with our team first.
Choosing between the 12x6 and 18x6 gate
The same ALU 60 T&G no-gap design is offered as an 18×6 ft. heavy-duty sliding gate for wider entrances. The 12 ft model uses three frame members and three track sections; the 18 ft model adds a third 20 ft frame member and a fourth track section. Pick the 12 ft gate for a standard single-car driveway or service entrance, and step up to 18 ft when the opening is wider.

Finish and long-term care
The frame and slats are 6063-T6 aluminum with AAMA 2604 super-durable powder coating in black. Aluminum does not rust, so there is no sanding, staining or repainting cycle like a wood or bare steel gate. Keep the track clear of gravel and leaves, rinse the gate when you wash down the fence, and check the wheels and guide roller periodically so the gate keeps rolling smoothly. For automation, no motor is listed in this kit, so confirm opener compatibility with our team before you plan for one.
