A 5x5 in. 3x3 aluminum post base plate
The 5×5 in. Base Plate from Aluglobus Aluminum Systems is a 3×3 aluminum post base plate, listed in the price list as the 5×5 in. Base Plate for 3×3 in. HD Post. It lets you surface-mount a 3×3 in. square post rather than setting it in a concrete footing. Like the posts it supports, it is 6063-T6 aluminum finished in black AAMA 2604 super-durable powder coating.

Heavy Duty Square Post (.090 Thk) with screw bush is listed for concrete footing or baseplate, and this 5×5 in. plate is listed right beside it as the base plate option. The same post and plate are paired again in the gate kit sections of the price list, so this is the standard base for a 3×3 in. gate post. The sliding gate kits also list a 3 in. square post for concrete footing or wall. Use the plate where you are mounting onto an existing slab or wall rather than digging a footing.

What it is made of
5×5 in. Base Plate – Black is made from aluminum 6063-t6, finished with AAMA 2604 Super-Durable Powder Coating in black.
6063-T6 is an architectural aluminum alloy made for extruded profiles. It gives clean, consistent shapes and takes a powder coating evenly, which is why it is widely used for fences, gates and other exterior building products.
AAMA 2604 is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association specification for high-performance organic coatings, powder coatings included, on aluminum extrusions. It sets test requirements for outdoor color and gloss retention, chalking and corrosion resistance.
