An 18 ft aluminum c-channel kit for heavy-duty builds
The C-Channel Kit 18 ft. from Aluglobus Aluminum Systems is an 18 ft aluminum c-channel kit made up of three parts: the C-channel, its cover and a cap. It is the longest kit in the Channel Kits and Spacers section of the price list, and the only one listed specifically for HD pedestrian gates and HD sliding gates, as well as fence and wall topper projects.

Choosing the right channel length
The C-Channel Kit comes in several lengths, and the usage lines differ:
- C-Channel Kit 6 ft. and C-Channel Kit 78 in. for shorter frames
- C-Channel Kit 8 ft., listed for pedestrian gates, sliding gates, fence and wall topper
- C-Channel Kit 18 ft., listed for HD pedestrian gates, HD sliding gates, fence and wall topper

Where it fits in a heavy-duty gate
C-channels hold and align the slat ends and give the frame a clean finished edge, and the cover closes off the open channel. For an HD build, pair the channel with a matching frame such as the HD 6 ft x 6 ft aluminum gate frame kit, and check that your slat profile suits the channel before you order. The AAMA 2604 powder coating is the same finish specification listed for the black 2×4 in. HD gate frame profiles, so the channel matches the rest of a black HD build.
Optional channel cover spacers
The price list offers optional channel cover spacers in 3/8 in., 1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1 in., 2 in. and 4 in., all in Black. They are not included in the kit. What it is made of
C-Channel Kit 18 ft. – Black is made from aluminum 6063-t6, finished with AAMA 2604 Super-Durable Powder Coating in black.
6063-T6 is an architectural aluminum alloy made for extruded profiles. It gives clean, consistent shapes and takes a powder coating evenly, which is why it is widely used for fences, gates and other exterior building products.
AAMA 2604 is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association specification for high-performance organic coatings, powder coatings included, on aluminum extrusions. It sets test requirements for outdoor color and gloss retention, chalking and corrosion resistance.
