An optional 1/2 in. black aluminum spacer for the C-Channel Kit's cover, one of six channel cover spacer sizes listed for gate, fence and wall topper channels.
What the 1/2 inch channel cover spacer is
The 1/2 inch channel cover spacer from Aluglobus Aluminum Systems is a small black aluminum part listed as an optional accessory to the C-Channel Kit. Each C-Channel Kit is made up of a C-channel, a cover and a cap, and the price list groups these spacers directly beneath the kits under Channel Kits and Spacers, with the usage line Channel Cover Spacers.
Where it sits in the size range
Channel cover spacers are listed in six sizes: 3/8 in., 1/2 in., 3/4 in., 1 in., 2 in. and 4 in. The 1/2 in. is the second-smallest, one step up from the 3/8 in. part. The price list does not say what gap or spacing each size produces, so choose by your layout rather than by guesswork: tell our team which slats and which C-Channel Kit you are using and we will confirm the size.
Material and finish
- Aluminum 6063-T6
- AAMA 2604 super-durable powder coating
- Black, matching the black C-Channel Kits
Where C-channels are used
The C-Channel Kit 8 ft. lists pedestrian gates, sliding gates, fence and wall topper as its usage, and the C-Channel Kit 18 ft. is listed for HD pedestrian gates, HD sliding gates, fence and wall topper. Because the spacers are optional, many projects will not need them. Check the included instructions for your kit or ask our team before adding them to an order.
Ordering quantities
No pack count is given in the listing, so if your project needs several spacers per channel, confirm the order unit with our team before checkout. Keep one size throughout a run so the channel covers line up evenly. Need the next size down? See the 3/8 in. channel cover spacer.

What it is made of
Channel Cover Spacers 1/2 in. – Black is made from aluminum 6063-t6, finished with AAMA 2604 Super-Durable Powder Coating in black.
6063-T6 is an architectural aluminum alloy made for extruded profiles. It gives clean, consistent shapes and takes a powder coating evenly, which is why it is widely used for fences, gates and other exterior building products.
AAMA 2604 is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association specification for high-performance organic coatings, powder coatings included, on aluminum extrusions. It sets test requirements for outdoor color and gloss retention, chalking and corrosion resistance.
