The 2.75 2-way post base plate
The 2.75 2-way Post Baseplate from Aluglobus Aluminum Systems is the aluminum base made for the 2.75 2-way post. It lets you surface-mount the post instead of setting it in a concrete footing, and its listed usage covers pedestrian posts, fence posts and wall topper posts. Like the post, it is 6063-T6 aluminum finished in black AAMA 2604 super-durable powder coating, so the base and post match.
Where a base plate makes sense

Complete the post
The base plate pairs with the (Fence Box) 2.75 2-way post kit or the end post kit, which supply the post, press cap, L-brackets and bottom spacers. Check your post spacing and opening widths before ordering, and count one 2.75 2-way post base plate for each surface-mounted post. Mount on a sound, level surface so the post stands plumb and the slats run true, and if some posts go into footings while others sit on a wall, list each position separately so nothing is missed.

2.75 2-way Post Baseplate – Black is made from aluminum 6063-t6, finished with AAMA 2604 Super-Durable Powder Coating in black.
6063-T6 is an architectural aluminum alloy made for extruded profiles. It gives clean, consistent shapes and takes a powder coating evenly, which is why it is widely used for fences, gates and other exterior building products.
AAMA 2604 is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association specification for high-performance organic coatings, powder coatings included, on aluminum extrusions. It sets test requirements for outdoor color and gloss retention, chalking and corrosion resistance.
