A 2-way aluminum fence post kit for slat runs
The (Fence Box) 2.75 2-way Post Kit 8 ft from Aluglobus Aluminum Systems is the 2-way aluminum fence post kit that sits between two slat panels. The 2.75 2-way post takes panels on two opposite sides, so one post joins the section on its left to the section on its right and keeps the whole run in a straight line.
The post is 6063-T6 aluminum with AAMA 2604 super-durable powder coating, and the price list marks it MADE IN USA. Its listed usage covers pedestrian gates, sliding gates, fence and wall topper, so the same post can carry through a mixed project.

The L-brackets secure slats and rails to the post, and the bottom spacers with their self-tapping screws sit at the base of the post. The press cap closes the top. Check the exact contents against the included instructions when you unbox.
If you prefer a different top, two caps are listed separately for the same post: the 2.75 2-way Post Flat Cap, supplied with screws, and the 2.75 2-way Post Convex Cap, listed as a pressurized cap. Both come in Black in the price list, so ask our team about Bronze or White.
Where this post kit fits in your fence
This kit is the building block of the Gen 3.0 Fence Box system. The boxed Alu 40 8ft x 6ft H 2way post fence kit and the Alu 60 T&G 8ft x 6ft H 2way post fence kit both list a (Box) 2way post kit 8ft among their inclusions. Buying the post kit on its own lets you add extra sections, replace a post, or build a run to your own layout without paying for slats you already have.
- Between two panels: use this aluminum slat fence post kit.
- At the end of a run: use the 2.75 2-way end post kit, which adds a cover strip for the blank side.
- At a gate: the pedestrian gate post options list the 2.75 2-way post for wall mount only, for gates up to 3 feet wide. For wider or free-standing gates, ask our team about square post options.
Choosing slat spacers
Slat spacers are not in the box. They set the gap between slats inside the 2-way post and are sold in Gen 3.0 packs:
- (Pack of 32pcs) 1/4 in. spacers for a 1/4 gap
- (Pack of 30pcs) 3/8 in. spacers for a 3/8 gap
- (Pack of 30pcs) 1/2 in. spacers for a 1/2 gap
Check the minimum gap listed for your slat before you choose. The price list notes a minimum gap of 3/8 in. for the boxed Alu 40 8 ft slats, for example.
Colors and availability
The kit is listed in Black, Bronze and White. The self-tapping screws in the inclusions are listed as Black for every color. As part of the Oct / Nov Gen 3.0 Fence Box release, some colors may be listed as coming soon, so please confirm current stock for your color with our team before you plan the install.
Before you order
Measure your runs, mark every post position and decide which positions need a line post and which need an end post. Check opening widths and post spacing against your slat length, and follow the included instructions and your local code for footings or surface mounting. Material & finish
What it is made of
(Fence Box) 2.75 2-way Post Kit 8 ft is made from aluminum 6063-t6, finished with AAMA 2604 Super-Durable Powder Coating in black, bronze, white.
6063-T6 is an architectural aluminum alloy made for extruded profiles. It gives clean, consistent shapes and takes a powder coating evenly, which is why it is widely used for fences, gates and other exterior building products.
AAMA 2604 is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association specification for high-performance organic coatings, powder coatings included, on aluminum extrusions. It sets test requirements for outdoor color and gloss retention, chalking and corrosion resistance.
