Aluminum fence slats 16 pack for a full 8 ft section
This aluminum fence slats 16 pack holds sixteen 8 ft Alu 40 slats, the number used in one 6 ft high by 8 ft wide DIY fence section. Buying a full box means the slats for each section arrive together in one finish, rather than being counted out piece by piece, which makes ordering several identical sections straightforward.
The box is listed in Black, Bronze and White, and all three are currently marked coming soon. Check with our team for timing before planning an install date around it.

The 4-inch face gives each panel wide, calm horizontal bands with fewer visible lines than narrow slat profiles. Aluminum will not rot, warp or need staining, and the super-durable powder-coated surface only needs an occasional wash with water and a mild cleaner.
What else you need for a section
The box contains slats only. To build a section you also need a 2.75 2-way post kit, which supplies the post, press cap, L-brackets and bottom spacers, plus a pack of slat spacers to set the gap. Alu 40 slats are listed with a minimum gap of 3/8"; the 1/2" spacer pack gives a slightly more open look.
If you would rather order the whole section at once, the Alu 40 8×6 fence kit bundles this slat box with the post kit and 1/2" spacers.
Box or single slats?
- Box of 16: the simplest way to supply a full new section.
- Single slats from box: better for repairs, a short section or topping up an order, and available now in black while the box is coming soon.
Before ordering, confirm your section count, post layout and gap choice. Remember that the first section of a run and every end or gate opening need their own post. Material & finish
What it is made of
(Box) ALU 40 Slat 0.047 THK x 8ft (16pcs) is made from aluminum 6063-t6, finished with AAMA 2604 Super-Durable Powder Coating in black, bronze, white (listed as coming soon).
6063-T6 is an architectural aluminum alloy made for extruded profiles. It gives clean, consistent shapes and takes a powder coating evenly, which is why it is widely used for fences, gates and other exterior building products.
AAMA 2604 is the American Architectural Manufacturers Association specification for high-performance organic coatings, powder coatings included, on aluminum extrusions. It sets test requirements for outdoor color and gloss retention, chalking and corrosion resistance.
